how to stop crank bearings moving?

hi i was looking in the docs and found this photo of a crank bearing, its got 3 screws around it
to hold it in the case is this something you guys are doing or just a trail?

does it work?

well according to my take on that photo, the bearing has already moved!

that photo is from bergoroadracer AKA 'takis the greek'. He has so much money that he has one foot in the back door at the factory and this is a mod that was recommended to him by the works.

i don't do it, i bond mine in with a proper bearing agent. the bearings are a VERY tight fit in the cases anyway. on reflection this was done before everyone knew some of the answers.

bearing looks like its shagged and has a steel cage.. odd

roller end radius looks non SKF

in my Ccases if the interference fit is less than 0.05mm the bearing is loose when the bike is hot

loctite 609 works well, id not do this mod unless the loctite was failing.
