I recently bought a 2005 FS650C with low hours. The bike started to make some abnormal sound from the transfer case area. I decided to investigate the noise. I took the left side clutch covers off and found the nut on the primary gear was loose. I put some locktight on the threads and tighten it up. I put everything back together and some how the kick starter lost the pretension and is not functioning correctly.
I would greatly appreciate any tips on how to properly reset the kick starter. I do not own the clutch holder or the gear segment tool, but I do have an impact gun to remove the clutch. I have the repair manual, but cannot completely comprehend how to reset the kick starter timing. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
