Greatful for respons! :)

Hi Rilleo
in order for anyone to give you advice, what you are trying to do and what kind of year/model

Hej då VIKING

thx! I know how to do but i don't know which degree the marking at the flywheel shall point at.

Hope you understands me ^^

Okej vad för slags cykel har du ? årsmodell? olika årgånger har olika sätt att sätta
tändningen ! det kan bli ganska förvirrande om man ska beskriva dom alla

Hej då VIKING

hehe kolla vad tråden heter ;)

take the valve adjustment caps off both exhaust and inlet.take the plug out get a17mm sockett and t bar turn the engin clockwise till the inlet and exhaust valves both shut on the comprestion stroke get a long screwdriver or rod say 12" long and insert into the plug hole and back the engin off slightly then back forward till the rod/screwdriver stops lifting.now there should be 2 marks on the flywheel use the right hand mark of the 2 it should be about inline with the top stator cover bolt.line up the mark on the stator with the mark on the flywheel if its out slacken the 3 bolts holding the stator on and move it slightly till they aline and thats about it.

let's se if I get this right:
(sry for bad photos)

Hi Rellio,

Wesh has described how to set the timing on a later Berg 99 to 03, the earlier ones are a bit different.
You will notice a small hole in the face of the flywheel and the cut out notch on the face of the stator, with a small drill bit aline these up and I think don't quote me on this but I think in degrees the piston wants to be 8 degrees BTDC.
But this is the way to set the ignition timing on this system, but double check the degrees BTDC before running the engine. Let us know how you get on.

Regards

Sparks.

ahh, thank you Sparks!
i was a little bit confused over Wech's teori =D

this is very odd, it's inpossible to line up the small hole with the cut out notch :(

i have many immitators!

you need to re-fit the flyweel.
pull the plug.
fit a 360d protractor to the flywheel with 0/360 on the old timing mark.
fit the dead stop tool.
turn engine with a T-bar left and right and get the protractor rcorrecly placed.
mark the flywheel where the protractor sits. mark it on the 0/360 line.
start and warm engine.
strobe the engine using the new mark. it may need a blob of paint to make it clear.
rev the engine higher until all the advance has finished.
you want 36-40d of advance (lineaweaver).

regards

Taffy
