Ok this is probably a stupid question, but how do I remove my front forks from my 2010 FE 450? Thanks!

Remove the big 27mm nut on the wheel axle.

Loosen the 4 10mm bolts that clamp the wheel axle (2 on each leg).

Push the caliper so the brake pads will separate (makes it easier to put back the wheel later on).

Push out the wheel axle from the forks and wheel. Wheel gets removed at the same time.

Remove the brake caliper by removing the two 10mm bolts (they have loctite).

Remove the plastic clamp on the left fork protector, 2 6mm plastic screws, so the brake line and cable gets loose.

Take off the two rubber straps that holds the headlight in place.

Loosen the 2 10mm bolts on the lower triple clamp on any side.

Loosen the 2 10mm bolts on the upper triple clamp. Be careful now as the fork leg will be loose and it might drop. If it doesn't make sure all 4 bolts on lower and upper are loose. If they all are just twist the fork out.

Do the same thing with the other leg.

Voila.

You should take care how you install them again. There are different ways to get them parallel aligned but I can explain the way I do it if you like?
