My low fuel light doesn't work either. I have posted some questions in this forum and on KTMtalk. Yesterday I checked the wiring and it all seemed good. I suspect I have a faulty sensor. When it is dry, it measures about 1000 ohms, which I think is way to high to light the bulb. I am curious what other people measure on the sensor when their tank is low enough for the light to come on.

I wonder if the 3 liters was up in the front part of the tank. I was surprised how much fuel I had to add before the pump got submerged enough to run. I think it is because of the weird shape of the tank. Kind of a bummer to run out of gas when there is still some in the tank.

Indeed. It was my first ride so I rode safely an never went far in the woods..good thing for me. Usually I ride about 110 before I can fill up. I know the bike can do about 130kms (I don't ride in soft stuff like sand...it's pretty much hard pack and rocky so the fuel consumption is pretty decent) and it's frustating to have to carry some gas in my saddle bags because I know I will run out of gas even if there's still 3 liters in the bike's tank.
I have to found this problem because it's a shame. It's like riding with a 5 liter tank..hell, even motocross bikes have more!

Yesterday my replacement sensor arrived. It also measures 1000 ohms. I find it hard to believe that 1000 ohms will pass enough current to light the bulb. I wonder if the sensor reduces impedance when it has power applied to it.

Anyway, now I suspect that the sensor is not my problem. I have buzzed out the wiring harness. I have 12V to the bulb. I know the bulb works. I can measure zero ohms from the sensor side to the bulb, and from the sensor to ground. So I am confused as to why my low fuel light never comes on. Any suggestions?
