1,the air filter dnt like to much oil on it,,it wont start (even useing the sprey type)
2,iv done 1 race & its stalled on me about 8x when coming into corner (but mite be my rideing,,but let guy who rides 4t have a go for bout 20 mins & he stalled it 2x)
3,just noticed the rear spring is mm apart from the exhaust...

I have done 30hrs on my bike now and I like the bike more and more every day I ride it :D

I don´t have any problems whit my airfilter/oil, and my bike have just stalled 1 time for me :D

RE: how many hrs u done sofar, done any repairs/valve addjust

The stalling can probably be fixed by increasing the idle 1-3 clicks, fixed it for me, but it doesn't want to start as well cold after increasing the idle.

I installed a 2mm washer between the muffler mounts and frame to give more clearance for the spring.

I now have ridden the bike 25 hours/ 920 miles. The FI flameout was my biggest complaint, then poor fuel econonmy, then hard seat that bruises my arse. Most of the time I can get around 75 miles per tank, by then my *** hurts so much I'm ready to quit anyway, so more fuel/range wouldn't do me much good. :)

If I were to look for something to criticize, the bike doesn't climb as well as other bikes. MY opinion is that the position of the motor and frame geometry puts more weight on the front tire, which is why the front is SO planted, which I absoluely love, but it also causes the rear to be a little looser in the rear, but I have good throttle control so that doesn't bother me until I'm climbing in loose terrain, then I notice the bike doesn't climb as well. As I don't hill climb that much, I prefer the planted front tire.

fakesy,

You may want to have your dealer re-set the ECU for a new base setting for your bike for your areas climate. It is a function we do with our diagnostic tool at the shop for our customers. Tells your bike where it lives and gives it a starting reference point out of the crate. Most guys notice that the stalling goes away.
Also may need the lamda O2 reset to spec. as it changes over time.

The procedure:

Reset ECU, start bike and let idle with no throttle movement for 15 minutes.
You can hear the bike adjusting in the first minute or so. Hardest part is not blipping the throttle while you are waiting.

Later,

How do you let a 4 stroke idle for 15 minutes without overheating? Rule of thumb used to be never let the bike idle longer than 1 minute.

18 hours. The more i ride it, the more i like it.

Valves are spot on. Lowered brake pedal so its below footpeg. As mrpwr did washers on exhaust brackets and loctited bolts which are now 3mm from end of thread but move pipe nicely away from spring. Scotts damper is set to low as the front is so stable on this bike. Hill climbs seem good for me, as the front always goes light when powering up, so its noce to stand central or half sit as opposed to having to lean over the bars on my 530.
Havent done the widowmaker yet though ( a biggie).
Turned up idle, big improvement.
I have decided sags are difficult on this bike, forget sitting, like daleeo says stand central and be done with it, you can get a difference of 12mm on riders sag just from the fuel in thge tank, i.e. full as opposed to nearly empty.
I have settled for 36 static, 120 riders and backed out on the clickers , back to standard and a bit softer in preparation for a 4 hou enduro at the weekend.
I will put a separate post as to how it all feels after the event.
I did 2 hours at race pace with top riders and the reason i was sliding out and adjusting the back end was a nearly bald rear tyre! Still, a good lesson in control when you have 570ccs going to the rear!
As you can see in the pic, i have since put my other wheels on with a S12 mich 140 on the rear and a trelleborg maxigrip on the front, went for 30 mins thro woods area and the grip is amazing, along with the softer settings it did not step out at all.
Fakesy, dont drench the air filter in oil, just even light spray across outer face and let it breathe.
My biggest concern is the fuel consumption, i did 2 hours at race pace , this was a practice so probably not full out either and i got......5 miles per litre 8O .
I think this could scupper me when racing, is there a way of having a warning light come on when you have say a litre left in the tank?
Mrpwr, looks like you are liking your 570 as you had to mention the seat again! I reckon your wife/partner gives you a horrendous spanking for going out on the bike too much and you like to blame the seat. A few more spankings and you wont feel a thing :D

Cheers,
Nick

I checked my valves on 30 hours and they were fine.
Exhaust 15/14
Intake 15/13

The pads are:
Exhaust 2.75/2.80
Intake 2.85/2.85

On 35h I found out that the gear pedal bolt was loose.

5 hours 115 miles done some extreme riding IE ripped the rear mudguard off 2 hours front off and broke the brace and clutch lever 4.5 hours I've now fitted me mousses and bar risers softened the compression and rebound this bike has got attack written all over it fuel consumption is OK at the mo because I've not gone over half throttle yet!! 7 more hours to go and another oil change and i'll start to rev it more instead of short shifting which i think it likes, it turns much quicker than my 08 450 exc and handles far better so far.and i backed the rear brake off so ive not stalled it at all
i'll get the valves checked at 15 hours and keep reading other peoples posts

25 hours, 300 miles of single track.

Sight glass on engine is leaking. Been weeping but first drop of oil hit the floor last night.

Replaced muffler with a take-off from 2008 KTM 450 XCR-W to get unquestionable USFS Spark Arrester cert in preparation for the Bear Whiz Enduro yesterday. Thought I was doing awfully good but am told (didn't stay for trophies) that I finished 5th in class. Butt hurts, must replace the Hard Parts tall seat with something else. I stand as much as I can when riding, enough that I can't hardly stand when I get off the bike.

Wouldn't enter another enduro without replacing the brake pads, but they are still good enough for several more fun rides.

Seems I am getting 25 to 28 MPG no matter how I ride. Single track speed average is 15 MPH.

11.5 hours. Stalled 6 times, have not set the idle up yet. Spaced the muffler out 2mm to stop from hitting the shock spring. No get off's yet, fell over once though. Nothing broken
yet. The only warranty issue has been a leaking countershaft seal. no problems with the new seal.
Speed average has gone from 12 mph to 16 on the usual loops I ride. It gets betteer everytime I ride it.

to improve your hillclimbing prowess, stiffen teh high speed dampening on the rear shock, maybe one turn. Makes huge difference in the amount of traciton the wheel finds.

RE: Re: RE: how many hrs u done sofar, done any repairs/valve

I've got 16 hrs, 12 of hit hard ice racing. 3 oil changes, one ECU reset after I mounted an Akro to ice race with. I had used a hose clamp to pull the mid section as far towards the frame as possible, for tire clearance ( ice tires are just over 6 inches wide and need clearance outside of that ). This worked well, with a 1.5 inch spacer at teh rear. WHen I changed the rear spring out, I noticed that the shock res was rubbing on the wiring harness. I'll have to address that. I read somewhere ( here on in a magazene ) that you had to remove the subframe to change anything on the shock...not true..the shock comes out the bottom when you remove the two bolts..just like the old bike :)

bike works well. The ECU reset worked well, and recommended. The idle time is an issue though, Berger, as it was -5 C outside and my fan, which has an 80C switch, was running when I returned to the bike to shut it off. Use a large house fan to move some air by the engine, we used these all the time at the shop I worked at when we were doing carb sync's on street bikes.

17,5 hours with a couple of oil changes, checked the valve clearance once, some fiddling with the timing chain tensioner and fixed the wiring harness to get some clearance to the rear shock.
