I took the complete from end off my KTM. With the rotor spacer and longer axle. Only problem I ran into is the KTM stem is aboit 5mm shorter than the Berg. So I either need a 5mm longer stem or im gonna have the top triple where the stem nut sits machined down 5mm.

Interested to hear the outcome as Id like to run flattrack tires on my bike.
I think I can do that already as I lowered it quite a bit for ice racing, and from measurements it looks like the widest part of the tire will stay above the tight portion of the forks at the seals, but I dont have a FT rim with tyre to try, always nice with people daring to try new ways ;)

Can't help ya on the flat track setup. But with the stock 22mm triples, my 17s cleared fine. Not sure if that helps ya or not. Are the flat track tires wider than street tires?

Oh I didnt expect any help in that way :)
I got the impression the forks are wider track no?
I have the FE and never done street tires on it. If the new forks are further apart then the problem is gone, keep reporting please!
More options is always good, plus I like people trying odd stuff out, keep it up!

I finally made it to the track with the berg. The 14mm triples and Smr forks felt great. Everything worked flawlessly and the bike felt super stable and predictable everywhere. It feels light and surprisingly a little more nimble than my KTMs. I love this bike so far. Excellent supermoto machine. I also cut the shrouds to allow for more air flow to the filter. Added a Lexx slip on and JD fuel tuner. All on combination seems to have added so good gains in mid and top end.

My 06 Fe to Fs650 has the 05 Ktm450 smr forks with Husaberg 16/18 triples set at 16.
I could not find the Fs forks so settled with the Ktms which are same height and caliper holder.
The difference is 46 springs instead of the 48s so I am a little stiffer on the clickers. They do have the preload adjusters that I believe the Husabergs did not have in 06. Ive got that turned in also. The setup I have works very well because I do have the shorter Fs shock .
The front brake is the Smr Fte radial caliper , master and lever also

Nice. My forks are 06 Smr forks. My rear shock is still full travel Fe shock spring for my weight. With the rider sag set at 90mm and it feels great. Not sure if I'm gonna shorten it or not at this point. Gonna try the triples on 11 next time out. Working on buying a 16.5 front too.

There is a 16.5 front Ktm wheel for sale for several months on Craigslist inland empire/ Los Angeles.
With tire.

I have access to a few 16.5s. Just spending money on getting all my KTMs back together. Then the Berg is getting tore down to get cleaned up, new powder, plastics and wheels. I can't stand it looking like a beat up dirty, dingey dirt bike like it does now. Lol

The bearing on the main tranny shaft that the clutch sits on decided to eat itself with only 7 hours on it.

'Fergus' here had that happen to a standard 390 and I've heard of it happening at least once before - maybe more except we never hear of the end result. so could be a small handful.

Just got it back from rebuild a few weeks ago. All new bearings. A couple tranny gear sets, piston etc. $1500 and it's going again. Just gotta get time to get it all back together.
