How many amps should a new battery have for a 06 450 e berg?

I recently took out the old battery of my bike. Cleaned the Carb and the jets, and installed a new shorai lithium ion battery but it doesn't seem to have enough power to start it. I can kick start the bike almost every kick. With the battery the motor turns over fairly quickly but not fast enough. The shorai battery has 210 cold crank amps. I thought that would be oodles of amps!!>>>?????:( HEEEEEELLLLP is this a problem with the battery? Or is my starter starting to seize? I have no idea when it comes to starters.

My FS570 doesn't start like yours. I warm the same battery you have. Try starting it for 10 seconds wait 10 seconds try that 2 or 3 times should start up then. Works for Me every time cold. After that starts EZ. Also make sure you have a good ground at the frame.

That doesnt really solve my problem though. It used to fire up even when cold with the starter. Is the starter going out? Does it just need serviced? Has anyone had this problem and what has solved your problems

Read somewhere(can't remember where) that some lithium batteries need to warm up to get to there specifications. This is done in a similar way as rainerio has suggested, which is blipping the e-start button a few times(getting the starter to engage and slightly crank the engine). Apparently this causes the battery to heat up to a level that makes it produce a higher output voltage etc to start the motor. Apparently it's more noticeable in colder conditions. I haven't tried a lithium battery so I'm not to sure how much better they are. I would think if you replaced the old lead acid one with a lithium one of the same physical size it should be spec'ed higher(more cca etc) and it should give you no problems
