How hp make 450fe 2008 ?

you would think the aprillia would blitz the the single cylinder machines in peak hp ?

I am impressed that ultra short stroke motor makes that much power at 7800 rpm!!!

basiclly what the dyno chart is saying.... is the motor that revs the hardest produces the most hp.maybe the berg needs a higher reving cam to match the others in peak hp.
at 5500 rpm (mid range power )they all appear to be about even.

a lot of that 'short' stuff is the bloke with the throttle shutting off early. basically most of those engines come within a MM or two either side of a 60mm stroke. they should be making power to 11k. that is a rule of their stroke and i do say it quite often yet i think many of you can't follow ths explanation.

i think the husey does rev that high but somewhere along the line they have tweaked it OUT of the bike. the classic is to overjet them.

when you look at the chart there really isn't that much in it. Most of the people that ride these sorts of bikes would never use the top end of the rev range, only the middle section,(most of the time). All of the bikes there are very close to each other. To get a guage of the USABILITY of the horsepower you need to look at the whole graph, not just the peak. A flatter line will equal more usable power, and the line with a rapid climb will prov very difficult for the average rider to harness the power and use it affectively.

the other thing you need to look at is the torque that each engine produces and at what revs

Hi Taffy,
I´ve been reading your posts about the maj, and it makes sense to me.
But to be honest, I´ve NOT tested the maj-issue by myself (yet)

Before I come off-topic: Don´t know about the 450, but isn´t there a rev-limiter in the kokusan-ignition @ about 9375rpm (for the 550/650 - same parts-nr?)

i think the husaberg stop at 8500 rpm because its so rich on the top my after taffy jetting
recommended it rev 2000 more now it more aggressive like 2stroce :D
