Will those few scratches between valves have any effect on the performance? I just want to be sure before i assemble the engine :?

That is one very sexy looking head!!

How many other Fins have a head that sexy

All I would do is give the valves a quick lap in the seats and slap it back on.

I'm no expert, but I've reused heads with more damage than that. It'll carbon up and likely be fine. Like squizz says, just lap the valves and good to go.

What kind of stuff do you prefer for "lapping"? something that i can get from ebay :) any suggestions?

And more questions:

Does it make any diffrence which way i install the "exhaust" valves?(i'm aware that they have to go to the same locations i took them from,(repair manual)). The valve edge is wider than the opposite edge. Its not symmetrical. Hard to explain, here is a poor photo. Intake valves seems to be indentical.
Someone said that i should allso wirewheel my valve contact surface's before lapping them, makes sense. They look pretty clean though, ecxept the exhaust valves.

coarse and fine valve grinding compound. should be available at any auto parts store.
you apply it to the seat area and spin the valve back and forth to lap the edges and the seat. first coarse then fine. i used to have a suction cup stick device and spin it down from the big end. lost that a long time ago and now i connect a piece of tubing to the stem and spin it while pulling up.

I just chuck the valve stem up in a cordless drill.

You really need a stick with a suction cup on one end, Or you used to be able to get something which went into a drill with a suction cup on the end.
You should when reseating the valves do a backward and forward motion with the cup, bit hard to explain but if you was to look down on the valve and picture 12, O'clock and 3 O'clock just move the suction cup from 12 to 3 and back from 3 to 12 , after you have done that for a while and got totally bored, move the valve around a bit, as you look down on the valve picture 12 O'clock move the valve around to about 4 O'clock and start over again until you work your way around to 12 O'clock

My advice:
Don't use the drill, just use the good old wooden stick with the suctioncup and your hands.
Just rotate back and forth, first using the coarse and the the fine lapping compound.Use a little spit to "lubricate"the compound.
Make sure the seats are evenly grey(no shiney spots) and are not getting too wide.

The valves themselves rotate as the engine runs so as long as it goes in the port where it came from you cant go wrong.
