Ok, i tried bleeding the rear brakes like i have any oter bike i have ever owned-with my mitivac hand pump. Got a small dribble of fluid out and that was it. I then noticed it had sucked my caliper piston in,soooooo i tried to reverse bleed them with a syringe full of brake fluid-it pushed the caliper piston back out but that was it. The level in master cylinder never changed. Now i have no rear brakes. They worked fine before i tried bleeding them, the fluid was just getting cloudy and wanted to change it out. Thanks for any help. I am lost here and really want to ride.

You are doing it right. Sometimes if any water has found it's way into the system it will cause a something like a wad of snot to build up and stop up the line. I would get some good Motul dot 4 and continue to use your mitivac. Sometimes you have to go both ways just a bit to loosen up the obstruction. I use a Left Hand Rear Brake and lay my bke on its side while working on it. I know you cant do that with the conventional Foot Brake. Keep it up, just when you are ready to set the whole bike on fire, it will begin to work. You can also push the caliper with your foot and sometimes work loose the obstruction.

Dunno about the 2010s. But they can all have their moments. I put the attached together a while ago, may offer some ideas, eg reverse bleeding with a syringe or oil can?

REMOVE ROD CONNECTED TO REAR LEVER.THEN YOU WILL BE ABLE TO PUSH FLUID BACK FROM BLEED NIPPLE.THEN REFIT ROD AND BACK OFF ADJUSTER YOU WILL NOW BE ABLE TO DO FINAL BLEED BUY PUMPING PEDAL AND DOING QUICK RELEASE AT NIPPLE.ONCE ALL AIR IS OUT ADJUST ROD TO SUIT PEDAL CLEARANCE.EASY

HTM, that worked! thank you. I have never seen so much air in a new bikes braking system. I now have a firm pedal . I hope the rear brake will now have a little more feel to it. It was like a light switch-off or on-coasting or locked up. Thanks again.
