hot start confusion

Okay, I'm pretty new to the Berg, but I have a strange issue... The bike is a 2007 FS550E. Started up with a few kicks, no sweat, after winter storage. Pushed in the choke and she stalled out (no big deal). Could not get the bike fired up again after that. Checked everything out, cleaned and drained everything and tried again... nothing. Finally got it started, but bike only runs with the hot start pulled. What's up with that? Any suggestions would be great. Thanx.

If its cold and only runs with the hot start out then its getting too much fuel from somewhere. Sticking float needle valve, gummed up after sitting unused for winter perhaps?

Pushed in the choke .

choke is not hot start.
if it runs with the choke out but dies when u push the choke in, then it is starving for fuel.
the pilot is probably gummed up.
pull the starter, pull to bowl, take out jets, clean it up.
there u go

I realize the choke is not the hot start. It stalled initially after the choke was disengaged and now it will only run with the hot start pulled. I'm pulling everything out today and giving it a full cleanup... thanx.
