Hill Starting

Hi Guys,

I have had trouble e-starting on hills in gear. I find that it just will not get going without selecting neutral. This is a real pain. I would love to just pull the clutch in and hit the e-start but it will just not fire up. It has started in gear on the flat, but then I do not do this often as I am usually in neutral. Are there any tips on setting up the bike to achieve a on hill in gear e-start.

try running the bike with the oil on the minimum. i do. i run just 900cc. that and might be time for a new clutch centre to help stop the drag.

I pull in the manual decomp lever> Then as I crank, I slowly release and it fires; usually.

as Splat said.....

I always kick start it,
but now I have to admit that 3 times I have used the magiv of the button,
and got it going pullin a bit the decomp lever and then hitting the button, and letting decomp go ... doing this all in a up/downhill while holding a clutch and brake,,,,, smiling and sweating,,,
last time I broke a clutch lever, and had to use only less than inch lever to pull it, finger pain....
Anyone made a tube type fast fix for levers .... for the emergency situations,....

try throttling it up hill thats the proper cure then it wont stall unless ofcourse u fell off :hathat30: :***:
