I haven't tried this switch yet to see what it does as I've left it in the low position. Does it actually do something that's noticable when it is switch between the two settings particularly for a supermoto?

the one on my '03 400 did make quite a bit of difference.

it sounds odd but low setting is used for most riding situations and the hi setting is for when more bottom end is required such as starts or in my case snotty, ****** climbs.

in supermoto cant see you'd want to do much with it after the start, but i don't ride it.

I should have been paying more attention, as i've been doing it the wrong way around
So it's high position for low down power and low for general riding

I have found that the low position softens the power delivery and I reckon this is done by retarding the ingition timing.

Conversely the hi position seems to increase top end power. I get a more pronouced powerband and top end rush. The bike runs like a scalded cat and wheelies off any little hump with minimal encouragement.
