Just looking for opinions..

Do you think a used FE390 with 67hrs and 2000 miles for $5800.00 USD is a ok deal?

or does that sounds like Major maintenance hog that will need a new top end soon and I would be better off buying a lower hour bike?

Let me know if you will! thanks

I'm in California BTW

67 hours is not much. In fact, if anything was going to break it probably should have happened already. Price seems fair. Sounds like it's already broken in for ya. It would probably cost you another 3-4 grand to buy a new one. That's about a $60 dollar an hour discount :D
That and you won't have to worry about putting the first scratch on it.
On the other hand being from cali you might want the street legal 2011.

Thanks, I think the only street legal '11 will be the 570..

Anyone else have an opinion?

So people are getting 150+ hrs out of the top ends on these?

Thanks,

I have heard of people racing these bikes with 200 hours or more on them without any need to open up the engine beyond checking the valves.

Indeed, some people have gone that far without having to adjust the valves. I have 55 hours on my bike and the valves haven't needed adjusting yet. The way I ride it I hope the bike to last much longer and I don't consider something with under 100 hours 'high hours' for these bikes unless every hour was a flat out race, and even then...

Thanks for the replies..

2000 divided by 67 is about 30mph... so sounds like it was ridden in more open terrain..

i Last month I bought 2010 390 in Moorpark, CA tricounty Powersports, It was not much more than what you are looking at. I think they still have one

I called them.. Moorpark.. they only have new 2011 390s..

I'm in northern California.. bay area.. found a few at dealerships closer.. but they are around 8200.00 otd..

I don't mind used.. cant really afford new...

If anyone finds a good deal you can Pm.. would be much appreciated! :)

Thanks
