Gidday everyone, I should have joined years ago, I have 6 Bergs, 94 FE600 being converted to an FC to race Pre95 in our club (QVMX), 98 FE501E roller, 98 FC600, 99 FE501E, 99FE600E and a 00 FC501 I have had from new. I have also had a 98 FC400 I bought new and a 01 FE650. I love all the Bergs but my favourite year is 98, I think after that KTM stole some of the Husaberg mystique and sole. I think KTM made a bad decision ending Husaberg, I'm sure they would survive and prosper more with 3 brands rather than just the two they have now. I am a mechanic and enjoy working on my bikes when I have the time. I also have about 20 Vintage motocross bikes from 1974 YZ250A up to a 91 KX125, as you can see I'm a nutter...lol. I have restored and worked on some pretty cool bikes over the years for other people, let me just say that Works bikes are nothing like production bikes, maybe that's what I like about the early Bergs. Cheers.

G'day :)

The early Bergs are special for sure, and you sure have a nice collection to prove the point.

Looks like you've been collecting more Berg's since I last spoke to you, when I came to look at the XT500.
How have you been?

Gday FCBerger you mad bugger

Welcome buddy. Sure is a nice collection!

I can relate to you in the way of enjoying working on bikes and stuff, more so nowadays as its not for a living. All those years buying tools has paid off now....it's easy to spend time in a well equipped shed. The mystique thing also resonates with me regarding the older Bergs.

Hopefully you'll bring your race bike down to the next Qld V NSW vintage MX meeting in Port Macquarie. The inaugural meeting late last year was fantastic. :)

Hi Damo, it will be at Port, that meeting was half my idea, Ted Brack and myself, we just pestered Scrivo until he gave in, I had 3 bikes there being riden, won pre95 on the KX500, Pre 75 on my YZ250A and Pre82 on the 78 RM125C (MOSQUITO)and YZ465H (Teds dunger after we fixed the clutch). All ridden by Tom Patterson. This year we will bring our A team from Qld, be good to get Hilly to get some of his Bergers race ready and come.

Haha persistence usually triumphs with stuff like that!

Congratulations on the wins mate. Unfortunately I didn't get to stay there all day because of work commitments but I was there long enough to witness Craig Andersons awesomeness on a bike. Was super impressive. Just so smooth. There were some lovely machines there, I reckon I would've definitely run an approving eye over your KX500 at some stage. Was disappointed not to see any FC's there though....

I'll come say hello next time, I only live over the back fence from that track really, could be handy if you need to borrow some tools, you know with Husabergs reputation and all :)

That go kart track right near the mx track is where the NSW Supermoto championship rounds are held too FWIW if you don't mind a bit of sideways tar action, so it's handy for me

Hi Fcberger, I would be curious about your 99FE600e.
I can't imagine there are a lot of them around brisbane. I owned myn from about a year old until 2009.
How long have you had the 99 600e for?
Loved that bike. Am currently trying to find a 00 FE600e to buy and have that feeling of the berg again.

Cheers Doug.

I bought it about 18 months ago from Sydney, it had a few bits missing, Got the 98 FE501E roller off the same guy.
