Hi everyone,
My family have the Trackday bug, but being reasonably tall ( and old) think Motards suit better than road bikes. Plus the fact we live in hilly farmland makes off-roading motorbikes another love.
So... I bought a 2003 TE501, fitted with road gear for my wife to use at track days! So far so good, a few minor issues, but the main one is starting the beast.
Previous owner fitted a Keihin FCR, but got frustrated and gave up.
Bike goes fine, once you start it, but it is very frustrating to start.
I will be wading through the forum for suggestions but feel free to throw ideas my way.
As an aside I use a Husky 570 and son is now using a Suzuki Drz, all Motards on the track.
We follow most forms of motorcycling, currently organise motorcycle training days at our local racetrack, trail rides for the off road guys, and long may it continue.
