Hi im in the UK ive baught a 04 550 fe in as a resto project job, crank bearings are gone and as a result distroyed the flywheel

Im useing the forum for info as im on a steep lurning curve as iv never had a berg before ... il probly have some questions along the way too

the flywheel will be wrecked because the mains went. the mains went probably because there wasn't enough axial float. they need 0.5mm OK?

If you want a cheaper parts than OEM etc drop me a line? I believe it might have been you asking for a flywheel earlier this week right?

I had a 'bok here all day Tuesday, in the British Army. we got his FE501 running really sweetly. bent inlet valves etc.

It was a few weeks ago wheni got the bike we spoke i think you were walking your dog at the time

Im in the middle of a house sale at the moment so things are a bit up in the air but im probably going to go with shipping the engine up to you for a re build/exchange

Can you supply the flywheel too ? the one i have is smashed to bits

this is how I got it they must have ridden it into the ground with major vibrations for some time, the front engine mounts are cracked right through and the distruction of the flywheel actually pulled the stator of the cover resulting in the hole !! , oil leaking out the crank seal too :0
