I just got my Berg delivered on Tuesday...

It's a off the line 2007 FE550e...

It handles great, works great and does all the stuff i want it to do.... NOW....

I have to admit i had endless troubles with starting during the break-in period, i was always running out of battery and it had a hard time starting. After looking a bit through on the bike i found the "Hot-Start" tab

I totally love this bike, but i was wondering if there are any other Icelanders here on this forum ?

Welcome to the site angelicO-!
We've had quite a number of great guys from Iceland here at UHE throughout the years. Maybe one or two will say hello.

Glad you like your bike.

welcome angelico

go into 'memberlist' and at the bottom change the 'sort' to 'location' then get along to 'I' for iceland (which is page 33) and you'll find we have at least7 there that are active.

our most famous is heimar bardison and also iceberg and iceberger.

Taffy

At least it started on the button, in the end, right? WHY ARE YOU COMPLAINING THEN?

Seriously, welcome aboard.

And how is the riding in Iceland? Can you go ride on the lava fields?

Starting

Your jetting is probably way off...my 650 would not run until I got it re-jetted. There is a guy on this site named Lineweaver who sells jetting kits, they work wonders. Now my bike starts with barely a poke on the starter button. It doesn't even crank, just rikkki wuumph!! wuumph!! wuumph!!....off to the races. It starts better weekly as it loosens up.

Thanks for all the warm welcomes...

I sorted out the starting trouble. Seems it was all due to my own lack of knowledge :)

Yeah, i don't want to be looking them up :) Hopefully they will be posting in this thread soon :)

As to biking in the lava, i haven't tried that one yet... but i bet it's possible

Weather is a bit rainy today, which gives me the opportunity to try out the bike in wet conditions.

Bike runs fine now and it starts with barely a poke at the start button ;)

Hi angelic0, I was in Island last year and we were riding the F821 and F752. We were overtaken a couple of times by a two guys on a Husaberg and Husqvarna. When we slept somewhere in the wild near Laugafell, they just kept coming by untill 03.00 in the morning! Wasn't you i suppose? Great country, lovely scenery, Can imagine that when it is light, you want to ride all day.......

Time is 21:34 now and i haven't got out to test it in the wet yet... but it is still so bright i just might...

And nope, that would not have been me since i just recently saw the light and went from Yamaha to Husaberg :)
