Im very happy that I can announce that I will be participating in the next edition of the Heroes Legend together with a friend (www.heroeslegend.com). This rally will start in Paris on the 8th of March and will finish in Dakar on the 22nd of March. Of course there still is a safety issue in Mauritania to consider, but if the risk is too high the organization will have an alternative ready.
We will be testing a brand new bike; the GasGas 515 Desert, prepared by Pharao bike in the Netherlands (www.pharaobike.nl). Our main goal is to get technical information so that these bikes will be ready to compete in the major rallys to come.
I think this is a really good initiative to give a nice form of competition to some brands that dominating rallys for a long time. The rally kit can be bought separately but is tailor made for a 2007 / 2008 GasGas. The complete set with bike is cheaper then other brands.
Of course I would love to do this rally on my own bike (03 Fe501E) but hey; who wouldn't take an offer like this?
