Hi all,

Been a long time since i've posted (13 years) - Jesus Christ! But I started my journey with an 02 FS650 and then swapped to an 04 FS450 and after 2 self destructs i called it a bad job.

But i'm picking up an 02 FS650 on Friday this week and can't wait. From my previous experience because all my miles where on the road i was changing oil every 3, filters every 6 and valve clearance every 9. I know the service manual says 5 hours but with it all being road use i was advised every 3. Do most people tend to agree on this?

Other than changing the oil, filters and checking the valve clearances does anyone recommended doing anything else as an inspection before i take it out?

Also need a blue side stand if anyone has one lying around!

Thanks!

Check this .Its a good point to start .

Maybe you can change your valve spings with double .

This will give you over 30 hours of valve adjust ( for road use ) and over 200 hours for the rollers change and big safety on your head and piston.
