Help! What did I do? Clutch lever on engine won't engage

When I was changing my oil filter I could not get the filter out because of the clutch lever being in the way so I grabed a pair of vise grips and manually engaged the clutch to make room for the filter and went to far. When I put it back to the original position it went back but now seems to be stuck open even though the lever went back. Any thoughts. Thanks :(

Hi Toolman,
Did you slip the cable off first? then the lever just falls back out the way on the older girls and the cable is out of the way too, or did you just muscle the sucker around clockwise?(this is a result of no soft toys as a baby...just kidding) If you did the later you will have to pull the clutch cover off and re-do the push rod in to the acquator properly, but check for damage before re-assembly.
Best Regards
Sutto

I guess I did have a rough childhood :finger: ;) Thanks. I guess I will have to tear down the right side of the case. Damm thing doesnt even have a clutch cover. The stinkin clutch lever sit right in front of the oil filter cover about 2 inches apart. What a pain. I guess its a love hate relationship
