HELP! Can't resist the urge to buy a FE

There needs to be a support group. I rode a 550 awhile back and was hooked...I mean full-on, no way out hooked. I joined up here to get my bearings on the Husaberg's strengths and weaknesses...a sure sign a purchase is coming soon. This doesn't look good...good thing I have a forgiving wife.

I have a tight woods/singletrack bike for back here (KC area) as I run the Black Jack Enduro Circuit. The 550 would be for racing/riding out west, plus our group raced Baja for the first time this past June and finished. Sooo, now I really want a 550 to take out there

Any recommendations on dealers...I talked w/ a great fellow yesterday, just like to find out who you folks recommend?

Anyway, I look forward to hanging out here as it looks like there is no hope on stopping this impending purchase...

RE: HELP! Can

Same thing happened to me. I drooled and then procrastinated for over a year before I bought one. You wont regret it. The 550 is awesome. I kind of regret not getting one instead of my FE450.

RE: HELP! Can

I've had my FE-550 for just over a year now and I love it. I finally put a rear tire on the back that works for me - an IRC M5B. Way better than the Pirelli. If you lived out West I could recommend Dan at Motoxotica in Vacaville.

550

Wade the 550 is the pick of the bunch especially for trail riding! I have one (well did)BUT,,,I am getting an 06-450 on Sat?? I bought my 550 2 years ago mostly because I thought it would be doing it alot easier than a 450 and last longer. BUT,,,,, all the enduro's we have down here is Tassie are suited for smaller capacity bikes? So either you have 2 bikes or go slightly smaller?? My 550 is definately harder to turn due to the inertia but I have changed my riding style to suit but I find it difficult to keep up with the other 450's in the tight stuff and then I have to try and make up time on them when things open up a bit? I guess I'll see very soon if I have made the right choice wont I?
