Central NJ
Hi everybody!

After lurking a few weeks, I figured it was time to introduce myself. My name is Walter Barlow, I live in central NJ, been biking for 35 years (mostly sport, sport touring, and big trailie type).

I do rides most weekends that I'm in town, and usually post them at the Adventure Rider site in the East Regional Forum. Got some real nice ones coming up in the next few weeks. According to the map- it doesn't seem like there are too many folks in the Pa-NJ-NYC metro area; but I hope I'm wrong.

In addition to the bike below I have a couple of Hondas (TransAlp and RC30), an Aprilia Capo Nord, KTM Duke, and Suzuki DRZ.

I recently picked up this 1999 501 motard with a 600cc engine.

This is my first Husaberg and in some respects I'm glad I bought it before I researched Husabergs too thoroughly :p

I have a number of questions about it, but will ask them in the appropriate forum.

Hope to run into some of you on the road (or trail). Speaking of which- any of you doing the RORR event in Pa. next Sunday?

wpbarlow,

Nice bike! Looks to be in great shape and should give you many years of enjoyment. I left a reply to your post on the "tank sizes" question and hope it is correct. I'm not sure how many Husaberg riders we have in the Jersey area but there are a group over there in the region. The site moderator is in NC and there has just recently been a regional ride in the Hatfield-McCoy area that may have been to some interest for you. Surf the site and submerge yourself in the vast knowledge of the archives as there is a wealth of information that would be of interest to you. Anyways, Welcome to the site and post away.

Regards,

Welcome to the site and all that but what everyone really wants to know is; How did you get your grass so green? And thick too :)

Don't you know- the grass is always greener in NJ :D

Actually, though my grass is usually pretty green and lush through July, that picture is not from my yard.

Walter
