Hello, I would like to quickly introduce myself to your community, I am 41 YRS old and started riding last year, I took a road safety course to get my road licence for MC and am absolutely hooked!
I live on Vancouver Island in British Columbia Can.
I bought my first Bike last March, a road legal '09 Kawasaki KLX 250 S.
I met some experienced Enduro riders on Vancouver Island where I live and discovered how much of a blast trail riding was.
Since last year, I learned to ride single track and double track trails on my 18 horse-powered 315 pounds KLX and ended up doing the Odessa 100 mile race in the Odessa desert, back in April in Washington State.
I managed to finish the race and got absolutely beat up. The guy I ride with has 30 years experience and rides an '08 Hussa FE 450 and told me that I picked up the sport fast and that I was "over ridding" my bike and that it was time for an upgrade...
I sold the KlX recently and this beautiful 2011 Hussaberg FE 450 with low hours came up for sale, I jumped on it right away!
i went from 18 HP at 315 pounds with soft suspension to a 275 pounds bike with triple the HP and a suspension system that is light years ahead of the KLX! I am absolutely hooked! All the trails which I use to struggle on with my KLX seem to be be a piece of cake now! Wow what a blast!
I am looking forward to learn lots more about my new bike on this forum and meet other riders.
Cheers everyone!
