Heat shield needed

I have an '04 FE650 and have a first world problem; the exhaust burns holes in my pants legs on the left side. It doesn't seem to matter what kind of material, I've got holes in my cargo pants (yes dumb choice), my kevlar jeans and my nylons.
Does anyone here know of some sort of heat shield I can get for the pipe? Buying new pants after every ride is getting a bit expensive.

i always took welding rod and tacked it to the exposed pipe to make a three lined "cage".
just tack it to one end, make a bend toward the other end, and tack it there. three lines is what i used.

Hi

I have the same problem, every time I had to pick the bike I would melt one pants

I've tried first one exhaust wrap, it was better but not enough, then I added one metal protection.

Can anyone recomend pipe heat shields with pictures for tthe 2008 450 bergs....for those two spots? I like the idea of alloy?

No problem.
Maybe I am going to lasercut a stainless shield, which covers a larger area of the pipe.
I also have pants, which have been melted twice, even after a heatresistant patch that was sewn in.

The bend in pipe in front of kick starter is burning my boot. Not sure how this happens as seems out of reach, but I must be there on cornering? The one near the shock also. I reckon alloy on the pipe would be the go with the front one close and smooth to avoid too much sticking out?

I've heard ceramic coating works well. I had a buddy that coated both of his exhausts with good results.
