Headlight Fuse #3 Blowing

Ok, new problem. Headlight stopped working, fuse #3 was blown. Replaced fuse, fired the bike, turned on low beam, revved, turned the wheel a ok. Flipped to high beam, a ok for about 10 seconds then it blows the fuse again.

Searched this site. Thanks again! Replaced the bulb with the one from my 05 KTM. Repeated the above and got the same result.

Anyone? Please?

P.S. It's an 09 FE570

I don't know if this will help, but I've had two problems with my headlamp.

1st, the little metal ddiffuser inside of the bulb melted and contacted the post resulting in a instantly blown fuse when I would switch to low beam. The bulb replacement cured that.

2nd, the headlamp on my bike was replaced with a 60 watt buld, which resulted in the housing melting. This also increased the heat at the headlamp contacts, and one of these contacts melted the solder on the back of the bulb. If that happened, you could have solder in the contact causing a short.

Other than that, I'd check the voltage at the headlamp with the bike running, if it fluctuates too high when the engine is revved, you probably have a problem with the voltage regulator/rectifier.
