Anyone doing any head work in Syd. Will need to get the head ported on the 570 at some stage? and is bergos the best source for HC pistons?

try RAMS head service they did a yamaha head for me, guides seats and port work an I was very happy with the work.
If you pm nolana he might assist. He got his FE650 done with the extrusion paste process. Not sure what its called officially, or who did it. Seems to work OK, but no numbers and he made some other changes at the time too.

Adam Layton at APL Performance Bikes in Wilberforce did the work for me. 45751116 is their number, they have a web site too www.aplperformancebikes.com.au. They have lots of KTM/Berg race team experience in particular so appear to have good knowledge. Service was excellent too, and you can provide your own parts too if you like, but his prices were OK (for Aus) and he has most bits to hand anyway for faster turn around if that's important.
As steve said we made some other changes in the process too (taffy jet kit), but the thing revs up so smoothly and much more rapidly now and delivers some serious punch - all seat of the pants though as steve said, no dyno to confirm. The rear spins up from 120 to 140 (and probably further with a longer straight!) in 6th. Basically no clutch req'd and pulls harder and smoother from low down so for my poor clutch skills, easier to keep smooth in the tight stuff with good throttle control.
