First it was the '92 fe501 and then the '02 fx470.
I should have my new steed in about 3 weeks. Woohoo!!

Hmmm..if it is the bike I am thinking of, you probably won't need that fancy aluminum tank. I'm sure that it is too small and probably will get damaged easily. Just send it up here to Canada and I will keep it in a safe place where it can't bother anyone :D

Nice bike. I know a guy who bought one of the other WEC bikes as well.

They are very trick looking. Whose bike did you get?

Looks to be an incredible bike you ordered Mr. Enduro. Glad to see you decided not to wait till 2012 to keep your (new Husaberg every ten years) pattern going. :D Can't wait to hear more details about the bike and just what type of characteristics the 496 setup displays.

Congrats!

Bjorne's bike, see photo in my gallery.

Do you get the one-off frame with that bike? I understand it has been cut and modified but Roland would not tell me exactly what was done to it.

Congrats on the new ride.

Yes, I bought everything but the "not for sale and not serviceable WP factory" suspension.

Heh, heh! Your bike is in my buddies garage in Canada right now. Do you mind if I take it out for a rip? Just joking.

Boy am I ready for that bike. I decided in November of 2004 that my next bike would be a replica racer, I've waited this long, I guess another 3 weeks won't kill me.
Come on out west and you can take it for a spin.

I am not joking, your bike is in my buddies garage, literally. He works for BMG and it getting it prepped for you. It is a cool bike. They were killer deals IMO.

I believe you. After being subjected to those extreme tests the bike will feel right at home riding the rocks of my local riding areas (that helmet cam video by Dylan was just like the view that I see on saturday mornings). Lee said that BMG was going to switch out the forks and shock (too bad I didn't think to put on SXS parts, or at least the polished internals for the forks), change oil, and look everything over to make sure that everything was stil in good working order. Does he have all the bikes there?

the only problem with that bike is that I actually had my hands on it. Make sure you disinfect it with industrial grade bacterial soap to get the Coffin germs off it.

Bjorne let Dan Watt take that bike for a rip at the practice track before the Parry Sound race. Dan said the suspension was unbelievable and soaked up hits like nothing he had ever experienced before. We were told that WP won't tell them what is inside the suspension and they are not allowed to service it. WP takes it away and returns it when the service is done. Too bad you could not keep it with the bike. Luckily the stock suspension with proper set up is more than adequate for most of us mortals.

all this hassle for a fancy used racer when you could have had a new 2007 Berg with those flames?

After thoroughly washing it, I'd still recommend going over it with a UV light just in case you missed a spot. Coffin residue is something that you definitely do not want on your motorcycle.

It's here! I see improvements over the old 2002 model that I had. The tank is very nice and slim, feels natural to stand up on. I threw it on the bathroom scale for a (non scientific) check on weight, it is pretty light, and feels very light to pick up.
Hopefully a ride report tomorrow!
