Hi

My bike start well on kick, but not on electric starter.

the starter runs fast!!! but it wont start, it start some time when i lift the throttle a little.

the electric starter runs fast because i hawe mounted a 11ah battery under the seat. :?:

berger is right i think. set the idle lower and keep the slide/throttle closed for restarting. to set the idle lower you must twiddle the fuel screw to get the HIGHEST idle and THEN turn the idle screw back down!

Tanks !

ok

How should i set the mixture screw? i do like this: turn it 1 1/2 turn out, run the engine warm, turn the screw in to max rpm, then turn it 1/2 turn out ??

No!!!

get the bike nice and warm.

simply set the bike to run at it's highest RPM by turning the mixture screw 1/2-a-turn one way or the other. the bike will hopefully improve AND rev extra high!

now turn the idle screw out to lower the RPM to the right level THEN do the process again with the mixture screw.

1/2-a-turn one way, leave for 20 seconds, half-a-turn the other way. which is best? move it to that setting. leave at the highest revs and again you must now reduce those revs with the idle screw.

now ride it again and check that you have no flat spots or coughs! if you do you can turn the screw 1/4-turn and get ride of it etc.

if the bike now becomes a pig to start you have A TOTALLY DIFFERENT PROBLEM called choke!

you should be running a PJ of 33 or 35 on nearly all huseys.

Taffy
