hard parts stabilizer- exchangeable jets?

Hey, anyone know if the hard parts stabilizer (2010 fe 450) has replaceable/ exchangeable jets inside?
I want to be able to adjust from.....zero. mine seems a bit stiff still at "1"
thanks

I don't know about that stabilizer since it is a different make/model, etc., than what I have, but you might be able to just change the weight of the oil inside. That is how mine works.

Also, I found that mine (MotorSportz) loosened up after use a little bit - plus I got used to it.

Thanks. I have 20 hours of good riding on it so I think its broken in. the oil weight is a good idea.
what weight do you think is an extra light one?

Odd, I have the reverse problem. Mine is wound on as hard as it goes but still feels quite loose... I was a bit dissapointed with it

wierus, something sounds a bit off with your stabilizer. you have it on "7" and it is loose?
you should barely be able to turn the bars at all. I may just change the oil in mine to 2.5 weight.
anyone have any suggestions on how to do this properly? Thanks

Well... 1 is as if its not even there. 7 isnt much stiffer. It works etc, but I was expecting it to work better.

Im just wondering if it has to do with my climate. Its pretty bloody hot here. Maybe the oil needs to be of a higher viscocity. Out of curiousity, are you in the northern hemisphere? Maybe you need the opposite?

My stabilizer came with 5 weight and I tried to find 2.5 weight but could not find any place to order it or anybody who carried it. I bought some Spectro 'Ultra Light' only to find out later that this was most likely 5 weight, so I never changed it.

My main objection was that on the lightest setting the bike's steering on the street felt stiff and I was having to consciously steer the bike rather than just riding it like I do any bike. Eventually that seemed to go away. It is still stiffer than without the damper, but it seems just about the right amount as the bike can be a bit twitchy once you get up to about 50 MPH on the pavement.

Off pavement I don't notice the stiffness at all because I am on gravel, rocks and such and the bike is moving around, and I tweak it up to about mid-range which seems good except for when I get in a rock garden or something like that then I turn it up some more.

Yes. I am in southern california. (it HAS been cold here) indeed, you may be right. that sounds like it is just plain NOT working. and that mine is just working too hard. ALL due to oil weight. Thanks for the feed back.

PM me before you take that thing apart, I learned the hard way how not to take it apart, and yes it needs to be assemble under fliud.

You shouldn't be able to heard any cavitation at all, when movoing the arm back and forth, mine didn't change much from 1 to 7 due to an air bubble.
