Well.
Having spent loads of time on this site, as everything that could possibly go wrong with my 'berg' has done....
In the past i've successfully broken my back, snapped my achilles, fractured my elbow and practically removed my kneecaps....
First race of this season (True Grit - Driffield) ...
Broke my f*%$£*"g wrist.
At same time, myself and my wife found out we are loosing our jobs, but not before we upped the mortgage repayments.
Is anyone more unlucky ??

Ady,
Sorry to learn of your broken wrist and employment misfortune. Hopefully this means brighter and better opportunities are just around the corner for you and your wife.

ADY,
Did you really do all those injuries to yourself on the one bike....nsman

Ah Bless You Guy's
Obviously i'm well down in the dumps, but how nice is it to visit this post and hear your well wishes.
You've cheered me right up !
Rob - I was on my 4th lap when i crashed, seen the results ta
Logjump - Thanks mate, yeah i suppose, things can only get better.
Steve - Thanks for the offer - but i've been told i have three months to straighten the bike out  Well done with 8 laps - excellent. 9 Won it !
Nsman - No the injuries have been over some years, not just on my 'berg'

Kindest Regards To You All

Ady - plastered again..

Ady - Don't know what it's like in your part of the world, but they seem to go through cycles of "downsizing" (..to be read "sackings") here every couple of years. Obviously "downsizings" are not based on merit as I've survived at least four rounds so far.

For what it's worth, I have only ever known of one person who ended up worse off after being laid off - and the poor bugger had obsessive/compulsive disorder and was borderline whether he could work anywhere.

One case where both a bloke, and his soon-to-be spouse, were both laid off in one round. They moved to the country, bought a small farm with their redundancy payments, and never looked back!

Hope you can make good of what is to happen.

As for the wrist - we will do these things!

BW.

Ady.
There is much truth the saying" every cloud has a silver lining" hang in there, you will see....nsman

Thanks Nsman & BW
I will take inspiration from your positive outlooks.

Regards
Ady

Yep...did something very painful here too. I had a REAL HARD FALL directly on my *** just last weekend....THE hardest fall I've ever had. Went riding on my FE650 with my brother up in Rowher Flats Motorcycle Park in Santa Clarita. Because the stock rear tire spun so easily on both our bikes on the ride we had just before this last ride (he had his KTM 525 EXC punched out to 610cc just to keep up with me & my Berg!), we each put on 140/80-18 Terraflex MONSTER knobby rear tires so we could hook up REAL GOOD (and they certainly do ollie).

We were climbing one of THE rockiest damn goat trails in the whole friggen park (I'm sure it was aggravated by all the recent rain erosion, but it's still one damn rocky place anyway). Near the very top of this "trail" (looked more like a Flintstone ROCK QUARRY if you ask me), my front tire hits a decent sized rock (what else) and because of all the traction from the Terraflex, it throws me and my bike up and into a right side loop over and then into a low side.

Well, shieeeet.....what's waiting for me out of the corner of my eye as I'm coming back down *** FIRST with my bike right on top of me? It's a friggen 3ft diameter boulder with a POINT on one end of it the shaped like an old coke bottle 8O 8O 8O

Of course I hit that damn rock...POINT FIRST...just off the left side of my tail bone and just above my *** crack. THEN, to add insult to already VERY PAINFULL injury, my bike lands right on top of me! I literally had tears streaming down my face as I winced and moaned in shear agony while I waited for the pain to "go away". That took at least 10 minutes...and I thought I would need to be airlifted outa there with certain spinal injury. I guess my *** was big enough to protect my spine just enough so I could eventually stand (after about 20 minutes tho).

30 minutes later, I had just enough feeling back (and "slightly" reduced pain) to throw my leg over this tall beast and attempt to ride the damn thing back down to the parking lot. Once there, examination revealed a half grapefruit sized injury that was already turning yellow (and a few other nasty colors) just to the left of my tail bone. All 6 grown men that were riding with us held their hand over their mouths as they looked at my nearly bare, but very broken and now colorful *** (I guess my *** coulda scared them all by itself tho). By that night, almost my entire left cheek was a pretty purple and blue mix (with some red AND yellow mixed in).

Needless to say, I couldn't sit anywhere....don't even know how I was able to ride in the truck back home. I guess I was still in shock. Not sure if I broke my tail bone, but even after nearly one week to today, I can barely get in and out of my own truck....and the bruise is still scary to say the least (my daughter nearly PUKED when she saw it). There is just about nothing anyone can do anyway so I just have to tuff it out until the swelling drops a little more (it still about 3/4's the original size of last Sunday). The swelling is SO BIG that I've needed to unbuckle by belt one notch or two just to compensate for my extra "waist size" for now.

I'm considering posting a pic, but I don't want to gross anyone else out too much more than those I already have. This thing is totally "knarley" to say the least....and ONE VERY DAMN PAINFULL MO FO

Trauma

Rustie:

Brain trauma like that can become serious if left unattended
You ought to see a specialist.

Good to see you're out kicking a$$ on the 650.
Whoa, maybe that's the wrong choice of words !!

Get well soon.

Cheers,

Brett Saunders

Kicking ***?.....actually more like BURYING ***!....mine, deep into a POINTED rock. Or actually I tried to bury that rock UP my *** and damn near accomplished it too! I think I broke it though...can one actually break ones ***? I came damn close I'll tell ya. Who wants to see??? 8O 8O 8O

Ouch Rustie
Bret - You should be ashamed of your remarks.
You'll be posting an official apology at this rate

Regards
Ady
