Hang Time Video

A handful of those crashes appeared to be the result of pushing it hard in a race. That stuff happens, and you hate to see people get hurt, but it's also just part of the risk in racing.

Stunt riding though...that's just plain dumb imo. I appreciate the skill involved, but the goal is to LOOK spectacular while not crashing. Serious crashes WILL happen in freestyle MX and other stunt crap, and I just don't see anyone who's halfway intelligent who is willing to accept that degree of risk for a nothing goal. Just my opinion.

have watched quite a few freestyle shows as they seem to have them at everything from major races to your local village fair and i just find them boring.

yeah ok the rides have major cahones but it just does't do it for me.

satex got the right idea.

Satex, good point, but those dudes with the heavy cahonies make you, me and 'no air' Lineweaver look pretty sane. It's all relative and I like having THAT as a reference point.

Speaking of nasty accidents, my wife was listening to the radio, and heard a story about a skydiver in NZ, watching his buddy fall, both chutes failing to open from a HALO, and expecting to find him dead. The diver apparently said "goodbye world". Long story short, he hit a broom bush, suffered a broken ankle and collapsed lung. He lived to jump another day. Sheesh

Not sure if I'd be jumping another day, I'd take the hint.

The funniest part of the whole video (irony funny and a little ha ha funny) are the two crashes that happen at the same place, on the same jump! The first of those two disturb me still (skidsteer).

I'd hate to be related to either of those two dudes!

OH MAN! what do say to that.... luck just does not play into it! those chutes must have slowed his decent more that you would have thought. but for those bushes, I don't think they would have slowed him enough.

Wow! Awesome airtime on the first part of the clip. What to do besides tricks, read the paper?
