what effect will i have moving the bars forward on my yolks ive never tried it b4 and am just curious?

It will open up the cockpit a little.

BUT it will change the way the bike steers. The further you get ahead of the steer tube the more you have to move the bars in a circular motion instead of back and forth (does this make sense?). It makes steering more of an upper body movement than just moving your arms.

Definitely give it a shot. Many people like it.

I like my bars forward cause I'm 6'2" & it puts me in the attack position without too much strain on the arms to hold me there. Also found it encouraged my to stand up more. Give it a go, worse case scenario...you put them back !!

I believe I am in the minority here. I like my bars back some. Definitely rotated behind being lined up with the angle of the forks.
My most forward position is still slightly behind fork angle. This is where you stand next to the bike and
observe angle of the fork in relation to angle of the bar.
In fact I need them to be close to exact. What I do is rotate them to where they seem comfortable as I sit on the bike,
then rotate them slightly forward to give me an aggressive attitude when I ride.
Ridden for years this way. Too much either way and I am bothered.
Father forward can make it a chore to turn, but easier to handle large obstacles and jumps. For me that is.
Farther back turns easier but too far back and I don't get aggresive enough.
