Handle bar sliders UK?

Anybody know where I can get handle bar sliders via the UK?

Found these in the States;

http://www.supermotoengineering.com/pro ... php?id=310 (but have high shipment fees compared to cost of item).

And one on e-bay (but no "but it now" price). There are some specific ones available only for Acerbis, but I need universal.

If I'm going to make "offing" a habit I need to protect my hard earned a bit better.

Cheers

crispin leave it with me for a day or two, my mate makes crash bobbins, have you seen my bike on e-bay advertising the blue bobbins and my brothers with the black ones ??????? i will have a word and see what i can do.

can he make him some helmet sliders??????? sorry crispin had to slide that one in! just bought another berg from your neck of the woods last fri!

grasstrackpete your the only person i no that actually buys anything from liverpool i bet the bloke you bought it off didnt hahahaha only joking mate

ha ha ha very funny you two (ever thought of going professional....? dont bother lol).

Thanks Mick, now u mention it, I have seen your bike pics on e-bay. If this guy can make em I think there could be a market for em, most peoples handlebars/guard strips are usually wrecked at the ends, which gets a bit annoying if you like your bike in tip top condition like I do.

Think I'll give the helmet sliders a miss this time, though you gave me some very funny mental images with that one Pete! LMFAO

I've looked but cant work out how they attach to the front & rear axles. Do you drill a hole in the end of the nut & axle & bolt them straight through ? Any photo's would be great.

Thanks Crispin all makes sense now. I'm thinkin..they just bolted to the end caps

Well then, I'm off the steal one of the kids old skateboards...let you know how I go.

Cheers,

Wal

sliders

We have to have sliders on peg and handlebars, wheels ect ect.
Most track owners dont like marks in the asfalt anymore.

We cut some polyethen plastic, which is found in most shops, or skateboard wheels is great but to expensive.

Sorry i dont have a better photo.

RE: sliders

Thanks Thomas,

Can you advise on what kind of shops I can walk into and ask for polythene round bar please? I suppose I only then need to cut to length & then drill & recess, so I may invest in a small pedestal drill that being the case as I'm getting through the peg sliders fairly quick (so this could save some money longer-term).

Thanks

Hi.
Hardware stores that supply the heavy industry with wear sheets ect ect.
We have several company´s that have these diffr shape of plastic and also diffr material.
Should be availeble in every town where there is some kind of manufactoring industri.
Parts store that supply SKF bearings should have such things.
