Handle bar mounted hot start.

Has any one mounted one of these from another brand. It seems they all mount on
the throttle side as to keep your hand from twisting the throttle. This could get tricky
with E-start button.

Dumb question: Does my 08 450 have an auto decomp or just the manual one?

I came across this one day searching the KTM Cycle Hut website. It's a hot start lever affixed to the front brake reservoir. Good idea, I think...

Is it an issue?? I have never used the hot start on any of my bikes.

i use the hot start periodically when running it hard on technical stuff in the summer, but its so easy to get to in its stock location, i don't know why someone would move it.

I use mine occasionally and found that its nice not to have to get neutral so you can use the standard one with left hand.

Clutch in, front and/or rear brake on, right index finger on hot start, right thumb on starter button and off we go.

This Ty Davis style doesn't need a finger on all the time to activate.

They don't get a lot of use, but its nice to have when you need it.

I like that model much better than the one I posted. This one doesn't have that ugly orange all over it. :twisted:

It started out that way, I just linished the orange anodizing off. Its now light weight too as a result.
