Hi guys,

Soft or Medium foam in the tall seat?

I am average height guy about 5ft 7inches and 90Kg in weight (Chunky).

I was thinking getting tall seat and soft foam as it might give me a cushier seat.

Anyone have these and what are your thoughts...?

it's a medium foam for the seat exactly the same as the original. you need to get used to baklancing more because you're higher but it also means you can get your leg in the gap between the bars and the tank when cranked over in a deep rut!

I am 6'5" and have the Husaberg factory tall seat. great seat. I recomend that for the Berg.

I live by the GUTS shop and they have made tall seats for my Husky and wife's yamaha. Good seats, good people, but be sure to pay the extra $20 for the competition seat cover. It lasts and has more breathing flexibility giving a good comfort and longevity, by contrast their standard covers and especially their "gripper" seats covers are pulled down super tight over the foam making not as nice a seat, and they tear at the edges easlily like within 4-6 months of ownership you'll have a tear.. the competition cover lasts and lasts

also I have tried their medium tall foam, found it hard not giving me the long trail day comfort at all. definitely go for the SOFT tall foam. IMO, I'm 250lbs too and the tall soft holds up good.

I agree with bigbob! Although I don't have the factory tall seat myself, Fryguy let me ride his 07 FE550 in Moab which was fitted with one. Super comfortable seat.

the tall seat is good for 6ft and onwards , if you are 5ft 7 you might struggle in the tight sections . or when you need to get your foot down for stability .

i have a tall seat and i am 6 ft , i use the SDG tall seat . look for a seat that fits between what you have now and the tall seat .

your stock seat has the polystyrene base , not good for comfort . or you could strip the seat and try different foam densities .

Thanks guys so maybe i should modify my original one with cutting it and and adding softer foam to it.
