Hi There,
Thought I should post up a quick hello and introduce myself.
Name: Scuba
Live: Melbourne, Australia
Married, kids bla bla bla non-important stuff

Bikes: 09 KLX140L, 08 Kwaka KLX450R, 08 KTM EXC250F, 06 Husky WR250, 05 KLX125 and new to me an 06 Berg FE 450

The Berg belonged to a mate of mine and was involved in a head on with a 4 x 4 out on the trails. I have purchased it to return it to its former glory. It will be a slow process but one that I'm looking forward to.

That's about it for now.
Kind regards,
Scuba

Greetings

Welcome, Scuba......
To the home of all things Husaberg......I see we also share the same bike, the '06 Husky WR 250......Very nice bike....fantastic engine for sure.......
I am not sure how much of it pertains to an '06, but Taffy put together the owners DOC, available from the main menu......It is especially helpful to owners of older Bergs.....You might peruse it for info pertaining to your bike.......

Thank you for the welcome.
I got her (The WR) about 12 months ago. She was in serious need of love when I got her and rebuilt her from the ground up, front to back. The engine I left to my main supplier who did 15 years with Husky race team in Aus. He built it to their specs and 'tweaked' it a little more. Chucked on some HRT billet triples, raked those forks in a little and she is a weapon. Not for the feint hearted :eep:

She is my dedicated single track bike. Nice and light and plenty of poke.

Once I finish rebuilding the Berg she'll share fire trial and desert duties with the KLX450r. The two smaller KLX's are the kids or, for the big kids when the little ones aren't watching...

Indeed a great single track bike, and the mod to the forks must be nice...you get any headshake at speed in rough stuff ?

To be honest I get a little as she approaches 100kph (around 94) but generally I'm not there for long enough to worry about it. Being ST primarily with a little transport in between she would normally hover in that 30-70kph bracket.

Hey Scuba, welcome aboard.

I look forward to hearing some updates on your Berg re-build.

Azza.

Thanks Azza... The bike arrives on Saturday so I'll get a better idea of what I am up against although having said that I did see it after the incident so have a basic knowledge of the damage sustained.
I will post up as I move forward with it though.

Yeah, single track here is 1st and second gear !!!!!! I am fortunate, my WR is totally original, with only mods to forks and shock. Even has the original piston, and is still tight.

Welcome aboard, and keep us posted on the rebuild !
