Hi
I'm based in the south west (cheddar, Bristol, Bath, Swindon) do any of you guys know any websites showing byways in my area. Or do you know of any good routes.
Cheers
Ian

I did a bit of greenlaning out of Dorset a few years back. I found the guys who know the routes do not like to share information. But they will show you them...as long as you are a member of their Trail riders club. It is cheap to join and they will show you all the good routes in your area.

buy an ordinance survey map of the area. fold into 3 rows not 4. mark all byways with a highlighter. try them then try and link them withunadopted roads. keep them in a clear zip bag and squeeze it behind your headlamp or down the front of your jacket.

good hunting!

thanks chaps
I've bought 3 OS maps and seems on the one with my house on has 1, yes 1, 3 mile byway, gutted as I thought moving into the Mendips would be full of them!

suggest you join the TRF or slip TBM magazine a line/go to their website and ask them if they have ever done a "doing the rounds" down that way. that'll be a good lead if they come up trumps.

suggest you go on the TRF website and get your local groups details.
