Grease in the Carb

I sent my carb off to be rejeted and had a good race out the bike and left it for a week and then it would not start. Coolant in the oil, slipping sprague. Repaired all that and it still would not start. All that was left was the carb, so I removed the float chamber and I found a lot of what appeared to be creamy, light brown grease and a lot of it. Once cleaned the bike fired up nicely. Does anyone know how the hell this stuff would get into the float chamber? So I can make sure it does not happen again.

if you had a top end catastrophe and the inlets get bent etc and the piston has broken rings and smokes etc or even a full scale blow up the oil will just go straight back out the crab no hesitation.

i spoke to a customer today and told him to look down at the sock and said: you can learn a lot by looking down at the bottom of the sock and what lays there. it can tell you everything.

in exceptional cases where you fall a lot, or it's upside down for a good while; the oil will run down the frame inside tube from the engine breather and then fill the sock and then go in through the air bleeds for the PJ and MJ.
