It's possible he has 2 x 400cc, as the classes are 540cc and 500cc.

That same type of swingarm was on eBay not long ago.

But anyway: wow...

Donnie Beers from Columbia Montana I believe. '1300' with a little juice for the extra push over the top.

check out 'bike 2' in the gallery at www.aeracing.com for pics of these bikes in production.

taken (obviously not by me, possibly last year ) at carnegie OHV about 40 min from me. the hill climb competitions are awsome... got to see one of these monsters in person last year.. I don't know if it was this one or not.

Hillclimbs are one of the most blood pumping, throat tightening sports I've ever watched. Big power, long bikes, tough men, big kahoonas make for some wild action. I watched Dusty Beer attempt a climb a couple years ago in Fort Benton Montana, on a 14something Kawi. He fell 110 feet off the top of the hill when his bike landed after trying to crest a wall at the top of a 300 ft hill. Amazing.

I've raced most of my life against Dusty and Donny's brother Doug Beer. Very competitive men, as you can see by the look of satan in his eyes.

fry

some great photos of a a young and slim team isde canada rider from '01 in the other photo section 'bike 1'.

whatever happened to him!

actually it's one of the best photo albums i've seen and you should all go look see both bike picture albums under gallery.

i have been thinking for some time now that we need a photo album of 'the mad and the eccentric'.

regards

Taffy

Now there is an understatement. Dusty and Don are hill climb icons and to me, Doug Beer is like the Scott Summers of Canada...Multiple Canadian Cross Country titles and a great guy. I will always remember Doug saying "Just Ride" as a response to any situation.

Oh...and FryBurgler...you too fall in that group of "very competitive men". I have never seen your eyes when you ride though because all I have ever viewed when riding with you is the back of your helmet!! :( :(

This bike uses Dellorto carbs, hmmm... Maybe they're not that bad, or maybe because he's wide open all along he does not need the complexity of an FCR...

But.... where is the kick start?

Nic,

Have you taken a look at the website provided in the earlier post? I was checking it out and it looks as if the bike is e-start only... I would have to guess that they fire one of the engines up and get it running before starting the other. What my question is, is how do they shift gears on both engines at the same time? I sure would like to see a picture of the area in between the two engines.

Regards,

I was joking about the kick start, of course and yes, I did see the starter motors, but I would too make a guess, that the battery used to e-start is rolled by the bike when then need to start.

Well, isn´t this the wet dream of most anyone here? Too bad though that you have to buy two bikes to get two engines. I don´t think you can buy a "crate" Husa engine?
I hope I am wrong.

I seem to remember a past discussion where it was concluded you couldn´t?

I have to ask my dealer.
