Well since I havent been on here for a while I thought that I would re-introduce myself. My name is Dave and I'm from Christchurch all the way down in New Zealand, I have a 97 FC501 which I havent had a chance to ride in the last year because I've been busy doing my masters in mechancal engineering Any way while driving out to a local riding spot a van pulled up beside me and it turned out that both the guys in it had Bergs as well. Got out there pulled the bike out put some gas in it second kick fired into life which was pretty funny cause there was a guy beside me with a KLX400 kicking the **** out of it!. Well after that rant it ran perfectly all afternoon and Ive fallen in love with it again!

Glad your back Cheesy,
Truly the Otago(is that correct) region must be one of the best places on this planet to ride offroad. What are the off road riding regulations like there?Tell us about some of your rides. thx....nsman

Not quite Otago but pretty close, Canterbury just north of Otago. There arent really any regulations as such, in the south island at least there arent really any big public riding areas so its good if you know a few farmers and can get access to their land. There is alot of hilly grass areas as well as forests and river beds etc so a pretty big mix really. Ill try and remember to take a camera to some of the places I ride
