Bahrain, for now.
Wanted to tell everyone that I am going home to Michigan for my vacation and soon I will be riding my new FE550. Definitely one of my top priority vacation tasks but quite #1. I will be camping around Ludington for the forth and most of that time will be spent on the trails. I will let everyone know how great my first ride will be. :D

Is the riding good in Ludington that close to
the Lake? You are only 33 miles from Baldwin,
dirt riding heaven, right after a groom and a rain.

I'm back in Iraq now but what a blast I had while home. Yes I was actual closer to Baldwin, at the whiskeycreek campground. Spent most of my time on the big O trail and some on the little O. Awesome bike, just loved it. Now I just can't wait for my next three months to go by so I can get back for good. Will be a bit cool in Mi around that time but I still have plans to get more riding in before too much snow hits. I will try to make it up to Petoskey but michigan weather could ruin that. My dad who also bought a fe450 was just as happy.

I was also impressed with Andy the owner of EuroMotors. He made the purchase and the dealer/owner relationship as much as a pleasure as riding. Well maybe not that much but you get the idea. My Husaberg experience has been awesome from the word go and after only 10.5 hrs I'm still all smiles. Man what bike!

welcome home...no wait, see you soon!

heya lubbz,

Glad to hear you got to ride the berg, if only for a little while.

Hope your time goes quick for you. It seems as you get closer to the end of a deployment of any kind, time seems to come to a standstill. Here's some things to help kill the time in your region:

1) break open some glow sticks and pour some in your mouth. Go into a tent after lights are out and after everyone's asleep. Sit in the cot next to someone and wake them up and start talking to them. This works better if the person is drunk.

2) If the motor pool is near the latrines and you're using portajohns, attach some 550 cord to all the porta-johns and tie it off to a 5 ton or hummer.

3) find the newest member of your group and tell them it's time for e-tool(shovel) qualifications. Take them out and blindfold them take off their cover and shirt, fold them, set him on his knees, then hand them the e-tool, telling them they have 1 minute to dig a hole 2'X2'X2' They get bonus points for making it square.
Gently place their shirt and cover in front of them then yell "Go!"

4) if you have a canteen(bar), take them to it, and get them plastered. Then put him in bed(preferably naked) in the same cot with the largest guy and take a couple of photo opportunities. Spoon position is best(with the brute behind). Send them to his email.

These are only a couple, but they should help you pass some time.

Hope you make it back safe & sound.

thanks,
json

Keep safe and next time ride on the other
side of 37 too. Each trail is a little different.
There is a couple of straights on Lincoln
Hills I actually topped out the 470 in sixth.
Luther has some awesome trails too.

Json, LMAO!!
Yes those things do pass the time. I like the E-tool one. That I guarantee I will be using in the near future. I think I will save that one for when I get back home and am with my guard unit.

I plan on altering the glow stick trick some and using that one here, I'm working up a plan now. Alcohol is prohibited here so I'll have to get more creative.

Posting doctored photos in the female latrines is a good one, or sending out love letter emails to all commanders when someone leaves their terminal unlocked is common. Yeah, there have been many people who have awaken to find that some interesting picture was taken (usually crude of course) then posted wherever they may go through out the day. Lots of T-bag threats who would want to actually do that?
