getting an 09' on the road?

thanks ahoolsema! will look into the cush drive, i have heard that term thrown around.

do you think i will run into major problems with the project?
i doubt i will get a chance to look at one before i buy one, if i do. nearest dealer is in another province.

the biggest thing for me is getting the costs right, not down to the penny, just a rough idea. do you foresee the final cost being more than $13K? i heard retail is $10298, correct?

Various KTM's, like for instance many LC4 models, have used damped rear wheel hubs for many years. It is likely that one of these could easily be used on the Berg.

If I recall correctly, I read somewhere that KTM/Husaberg will be using 'dampers' in the clutch mechanism in '09. If this is the case, this should eliminate or at least minimize the need for a damped rear wheel.

well guys, i think this post was a waste, found a place that has a 07 FS650 with 500km on it! bone sock, for now. $9000 CAD i think this will be the one.

9K + inspection VS. 10k+ for bike + conversion + inspection etc.

how does that deal sound?

Dude, you've got us all jacked up, waiting for your project to come to reality, don't give up now!!!! Not to say that a 650 doesn't work well, but a 570 on slicks would be killer!!!!!

you'll be happy with either...just had to grill you a bit.

I am sure there would be an SM set up in the Force depot like they have now. You will find everything you need there for the conversion. I have an 08 FS650E. I would like to take on a conversion for my next bike and i will be looking at an 09 or 10 FE570 if the factory doesn't bring one out.

Go Alpina wheel sets or Excel/talon combo 16.5 x 3.5 and 17 x 5.00, Magura MS with Beringer caliper and Braking disc.

i know! a 570 would have been SWEET, but the less money, the better.

sorry guys!

what would you like to see the price be? im not sure if its "used" or was a shop demo bike type thing? its only got 500 km on it.
