Thinking about buying a 03 fc550 with stator issues . Its cheap n cool .
Any general thought on this model ? Im aware of the pre 04 electrics saga .
How does it stack up vs the rest of the berg line up ?
Fairly limited market in new zealand .
I own and maintain a fleet of sweedish huskys incluing a silver streak and a 420 auto .

well the stator could be disguising anything. the best thing to do when an engine is phuqed is not to let anyone start it.

there isn't a chinese stator option for the FC but I do have repaired ones here.

I see a lot of work but if you're a competent mechanic its interesting and rewarding. most (non) mechainics loose the will to live though....
