Hi guys, me and a few friends are gonna do a track day at brands hatch on the Indy circuit, can anyone recommend the gearing that I should be running? I'm pretty sure I'll be too low geared as I am. Not sure of cog sizes yet though, need to check tomorrow, thanks for the help :)

you won't need anything higher than 48 x 15 I would have thought?

I've never been to Brands (wrong side of the pond for me) but 15 x 48 seems pretty tall if your on the Indy Circuit. I know I have to get off the race line midway down the straight at Sears (Infineon) when I'm on the big track. I simply run out of top end. Still, I make it up in the next 2 corners off the back straight.

Give it a thrash around the Fontwell roundabout and the A29 roundabout, if it pulls well around and between them without losing too much top end you won't be far off.
If you can, take 14,15 and 16 tooth gearbox sprockets in case you're way off.

Have a good day up there.

I think it would be absolutely screaming coming down that straight with 15/48.

I've ran 15/47 for trail riding on the FS628. It's good for that, but it's wheezing at 80-85 mph. It made 95mph, but I backed off out of pity for my bike.
