any of you berg owners ever lose gears?

4th disintegrated on mine yesterday.. waiting for tear down in the shop to see what is needed but it aint good. its spinning and catching on itself when 4th is selected.
.. and i just rebuilt it 200 mile ago

percentage of downtime on this bike since i got it at xmas is rather startling

would quick shifting from 3rd to 4th with front wheel in the air cause hassle to the gear?

anyway.. gettign less impressed with this berg as times goes on

Sorry to hear about your problems. It doesn't sound like a common problem on the late model bikes. Please keep us informed when they determine the cause of failure.

Depending on the year it is indeed a common problem.
Many early 3 / 4 cluster gears had incorrect pitch.

What is the year and model?

Then as berger stated such is not a common problem.

If you could forward a few detailed pictures of the failed components perhaps UHE members in the know may help determine the cause.
