Gear stampings old vs new, whining noise.

Hello,

I own a Husaberg FS 650 E from 2006 which is making a loud whining noise, just as loud as my exhaust!
Here is a video of another berg with the noise:

I have recently done a complete engine rebuild with:
New Nikasil
new piston
all new bearings
new cam chain
crank rebuilt with big end bearing

To get rid of the whining noise i have tried:
Removing the sprague e-starter gears
removing the kickstarter

Bike runs good, but this noise is driving me nuts
I have heard that the noise can be due to mismatched gears on the clutch side from later and newer models, so i was wondering if you could tell me if i have the new or old primary gear.

My primary gear has the following stamped on it:
HB 230 130
Clutch basket has no stampings on it, neither does the gear wheel on the balancer shaft.

Hope you can help, thanks!

HeimirBardason had issues with whining gears related to a retrofitted counterbalancer from a different year - maybe some info if you search for his posts - wasn't resolved afaik

Thank you for the fast reply :)

The counterbalancer has been removed and checked by Taffmeisters, so i believe it is the right one. I have read the thread, and i still think there is a fair change that it is the gears on my clutch side, primary gear, balance shaft gear, clutch basket. So i need to know if the stamping on primary gear (HB 230 130) is the stock one for the 2006 FS 650 E.

that gear only belongs on the 2001 models. it sounds like a good place to start!

regards

Taffy

Is this not a normal noise for the bergs? The one in that video was loud, but still sounds like mine haha!
