Anybody have a busted Garmin 60CS out there? I need a couple parts for mine and Garmin has stopped supporting this model.

Hmmm you may be SOL do they still do the exchange for that unit... Doesnt sound like it.. If it were just a screen i may of had some but hard parts like that I think ebay is your only choice

Garmin said they don't service the 60 CS period anymore, but they were willing to sell me a new GPS. LOL. I'll look for a bit before I buy new unit altogether. Thanks for the response though, I appreciate it.

Might be a long shot, but technically you can 3D-print the back case half, at Shapeways for example: http://www.shapeways.com/

The data port connector is probably a standard part, I'd try Mouser and Digi-Key to name some online stores that seem to have EVERYTHING electrical-parts-related.

How do I do that? I have never even seen that site before, it looks awesome. If you would like to walk me through the process, I'd love to try that. I'm working on the data port, but still, life would be so much easier if someone out there had an inoperable CS60 they were willing to part out.

Great :)

Sorry for the belated reply! Kind of on the run these days. For the record, to do something like this on Shapeways, you just need a 3D model. Either you find someone who can model something like this after measurements of the other half of the box - or learn something like Sketchup and draw the model yourself.

This is an amazing program: http://www.sketchup.com/ ... not only for what it can do but for how absolutely intuitive and wonderful the interface is. I showed it to my grandfather and he picked it up in no time. He's a smart guy with a technical background, but this does show how well designed and functional Sketchup is.
