FX 470 rebuild

Hi, the saga of my 01 470 rebuild continues. Iv'e made a new liner, rebuilt the dogs on the g/box, rewelded the swingarm boss crankcase crack now only to find a crack in the crank radiating from the large lightening hole to to crank edge on the drive side flywheel. Im seriously considering making my own crank, and if I do so, will look at alternate pin and rod kits which are a bit more friendly on the wallet. Before I get that keen, is there anyone in NZ or Oz with a set of crank wheels to effect a repair. It's getting to the stage there is bugger all Husaberg bits left in my bike given all the bits that have been rebuilt. Cheers, Stu

Nah....not really. it's very thin through that section. It's likely it would never cause any bother because the crack doesn't go anywhere but because some muppet has attempted a back yard balancing job with a disc grinder on the webs, I feel obliged to tidy the whole assy up.
